PHOTOS: Bustos Welcomes Local Students to U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON – Today at the U.S. Capitol, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) greeted students from multiple schools across her district, where they discussed the importance of civic engagement for young people and her role as a Member of Congress. Students from Lombard Middle School, Wethersfield High School, Galva Junior/Senior High School, AlWood Middle School and Orion Middle School were in attendance.

“It’s always great meeting young students with an interest in government,” Congresswoman Bustos said. “Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn is energizing and gives me hope for the future of Illinois and our country. It was a pleasure welcoming these young leaders to the U.S. Capitol today and I look forward to seeing everything they go on to accomplish.”
