WASHINGTON – Today on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) discussed House Democrats’ efforts to bring down the cost of health care and protect patients with pre-existing conditions. Discussing a gentleman from Abingdon she met recently at a Supermarket Saturday, Congresswoman Bustos said:
“We’ve got to tell him that we’re fighting for him and we’re going to do what we can to make sure he can afford health care… that he does have access to health care. And that we’ll do what we can to raise wages in our country. That’s what we have to fight for, that’s what we have to be talking about.”
Yesterday, after the White House announced their intention to strike down the Affordable Care Act in its entirety, Congresswoman Bustos joined House Democrats to introduce legislation that would make health care more affordable and accessible for hardworking families.
