Congresswoman Bustos’ Office Delivers more than 600 Valentines for Veterans

MOLINE – Today, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos announced that her office delivered more than 600 valentines across the 17th Congressional District as part of her annual “Valentines for Veterans” drive. Bustos, who organized this effort to thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice, spearheaded the effort to collect valentines from families across the 17th District and then deliver them to the VA hospitals that serve her constituents in Iowa City, Madison and Danville. Valentines were also delivered to VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Bettendorf, Rockford and Peoria, as well as the VA Community Resource and Referral Center in Davenport, and the Quad-Cities Vet Center in Moline.

“I want to thank everyone who took the time to write a valentine to show their appreciation for our veterans,” said Congresswoman Cheri Bustos. “Today and every day, we must recognize and give thanks for the heroic service and sacrifice of our veterans and that’s why we started the ‘Valentines for Veterans’ program. On behalf of my entire team, we were honored to help more than 600 Illinoisans send a message of love and appreciation to our veterans.”
