Bustos will Visit Israel and Jordan as Part of Trip with several Members of Congress to Learn More about the Region and National Security Issues
WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) departed for Israel and Jordan as part of a trip to the Middle East with several Members of Congress. On the trip – which comes at no cost to taxpayers – Congresswoman Bustos will learn more about the issues impacting the two nations, conflicts in the Middle East and most importantly, challenges facing our national security.
“Nothing is more important than the security and safety of the American people – on this visit to Israel and Jordan, I look forward to learning how we can strengthen our national security and improve our diplomatic relations abroad,” Congresswoman Bustos said. “As one of our few true allies in the region, I’m committed to strengthening our critically important relationship with Israel and advocating for pro-peace policies in Congress.”
