Bustos Holds Facebook Live with IBEW International President to Highlight Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

“This is about rebuilding America”

MOLINE – This week, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) held a Facebook live with Lonnie Stephenson, International President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), to highlight how the bipartisan infrastructure law supports our workforce.

“Whether it’s getting high-speed internet for, say, family businesses, for kids who now have to go to the small-town library to sit on the stoop to be able to get high-speed internet, or we hear the stories about kids who have to go to their high school parking lot in order to tap into the internet,” said Congresswoman Bustos. “This is just going to grow, and grow, and grow as far as the job opportunities, as far as making sure that the air that we breathe, that our kids breathe, that our grandkids breathe is going to get cleaner and cleaner. And just how we get around this nation is going to improve.”

Congresswoman Bustos was proud to vote for the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act in November.
