Bustos Announces 2022 Valentines for Veterans

Participants are encouraged to mail Valentine’s Day cards to Bustos’ Illinois offices to be distributed due to COVID-19

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (D-IL) announced her ninth annual “Valentines for Veterans” program, encouraging families across Northwest, Northern and Central Illinois to show appreciation for our veterans by making homemade Valentine’s Day cards.

“As Valentine’s Day approaches, I’m pleased to kick off our ninth annual Valentines for Veterans program,” Congresswoman Bustos said. “We owe veterans a great deal of gratitude and I encourage everyone across our region to join me in crafting cards for local veterans to thank them for their service. As we continue to practice social distancing, sending cards is an excellent way to express appreciation safely and brighten a veteran’s day.”

The deadline for submission is Monday, February 7th, so Congresswoman Bustos can distribute the Valentine’s Day cards to local veterans. Due to COVID-19, cards must be mailed to any of Congresswoman Bustos’ Illinois offices listed below:
